Aamodini India, led by Jayasree Madhu, was conferred with the prestigious “Women Leadership Award” under the “Social Empowerment” category at The Fortune Leadership Awards 2023. The event held at the Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport on September 30th felicitated visionary entrepreneurs, emerging leaders, and industry professionals who are making strides in the business industry.

Jayasree, Managing Director and Founder of the firm started her career in 2006 and worked in the medical industry till 2018. Being born in Kerala, Ayurveda has been a crucial part of her life in her formative years. Convinced by the healing power of Ayurveda, she embarked on the journey to promote Ayurveda cosmetics in modern form. After getting medical approval, her products saw a surge in demand and entered Mexico, the US, and Canada.
Jayasree is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community and the United Nations Global Compact. She speaks at conferences and events on sustainability, social impact, and entrepreneurship. She finds her purpose in leading from the front and empowering rural women towards financial independence. Her firm, Aamodini India has been recognised many times for its social impact and has received several awards and accolades. A strong advocate for sustainability and women’s empowerment, Ms. Madhu emphasises, “True wellness can come about through empowerment and social change.”
Aamodini India- Feel The Pride
In 2019, Jayasree started ‘Aamodini’ to promote Ayurvedic cosmetics in modern form. However, during the pandemic, the company had to shut down. Jayasree didn’t lose hope. She fought with all the adversities to come up stronger. On 21st October 2021, she set up AAMODINI INDIA with a mission to create a better India where ambitious entrepreneurial dreams do come true irrespective of who dared to dream.
The ethos of ‘Aamodini India’ is to create a space that helps women build their entrepreneurial spirit using natural resources at their disposal at competitive prices, eliminating the middleman. The company’s ‘Bring the Cup Home campaign’ has worked wonders, an attempt to deliver medical-grade menstrual cups to women from every strata of society. The other products sold are- Ayurvedic beauty, Ayurvedic seasonal products, and coir products. The company also provides skill development, product development, quality control, marketing and sales training to rural women.
