India’s Responsible AI Leaders Take Center Stage as Universal AI Awards Launches India Chapter

Press Releases

NEW DELHI

The transformation that AI brings about is much quicker than the establishment of measures for accountability. Most awards honor innovation. However, almost none measure if that innovation is responsible or well-governed. To fix this, Knowledge Networks is launching the Universal AI Awards India Chapter. The event takes place September 17, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in New Delhi. India has the world’s second-largest developer community, and the government aims to be an AI-first nation. The event comprises a one-day summit of leaders along with an awards ceremony in the evening. The summit is attended by policymakers, business people, academics, and innovators. The award ceremony recognizes leaders who make responsible use of AI to benefit society. This is the first of two global chapters for 2026. The second chapter happens in Miami this December.

“The decisions we make today about AI governance will define human progress for generations,” said Sanjay K. Puri, Founder and Chairman of Knowledge Networks. “We are recognizing leaders who prove innovation and accountability belong together.”
