Having born into a business family, Rohini Manian has always been surrounded by talks about business. Hence, the tendency to engage in entrepreneurship and the ability to perform peerlessly felt natural to her.
Rohini’s first love is real estate. Her passion to do something in this particular field led to the creation of Propcierge, India’s only digital platform for real estate needs in 2019.

Rohini, a third-generation entrepreneur from the Manian family, uses her western education and intrinsic Indian business acumen to spearhead Propcierge and is ably supported by experienced international property professionals, as they serve a global world. As a startup accelerator, avid investor, and motivational speaker, she believes in guiding fellow entrepreneurs to build scalable and purpose-driven businesses that create sustainable social impact.
ROHINI’S JOURNEY TO THE ENTREPRENEURIAL WORLD
Rohini has grown up listening to dinner table conversations of her parents around business ideas, their implementation, and trends. Her inclination to build businesses started at a young age as her parents and brother are entrepreneurs and they constantly inspire her to invigorate the world of entrepreneurship. The freedom and her ability to impact several people around her motivate her every day to bring new ideas to the table.
Rohini started off her journey in 2014 with her family business Global Adjustments, a relocation and realty services company when she was 23 years old. She took over as Chief Executive Officer in 2016. As CEO, she delegated the company’s agendas, oversaw the entire organizational structure of the company, and managed the overall operations. As the challenging yet exhilarating journey of bearing the risks and enjoying the rewards fascinated her, she never looked back.
Currently, she is the Founder and CEO of Propcierge, a real estate company that provides an exotic range of interior, renovation, home construction, and many other services.

HURDLES FACED BY ROHINI
For Rohini, every challenge has been a new opportunity. As a woman in the male-dominated real estate business, she used to find it extremely difficult to be taken seriously for what she used to do and bring to the table. She knew the only solution would be to set an example and build a strong diverse leadership board of her own. Today, her self-built board encourages women to take up more roles in the real estate industry.
Furthermore, as the CEO of Global Adjustments, it wasn’t easy to lead a team of people much older and experienced than her. In the initial days, she had to put in extra effort to explore more. Gradually, her extensive knowledge and thought process added value to the company which helped her earn respect in the organization.
“Respect has to be earned and not commanded, that is something I learned very early in life,” Rohini remarked.

ADVICE FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
Rohini shares a famous quote by Sheryl Sandberg for every budding women entrepreneur which says “You will be defined not just by what you achieve, but by how you survive.”
She believes that it is especially true for women entrepreneurs because everyone has their eyes on women. She advises women to take every challenge as an opportunity to show the world that she is no less than any other in the industry and can climb the ladder of success that she has set for herself.
Rohini also says “There will be times when you would need help. Don’t hesitate to ask and reach out to your network of friends, family, and professionals. A healthy network is a key to a successful business.”
