With its theme, “Power of the Past, Force of the Future,” this year’s edition set a new benchmark for collegiate business summits.
The three-day event kicked off with high-stakes business, finance, and economics competitions. Periculum, the flagship finance event, tested students with a fast-paced mock stock trading challenge, while Prudentia, the premier business case competition, pushed participants to navigate corporate crises with strategic solutions.
A major highlight was the Insight Business Conclave (IBC) on February 5, where former Bank of Baroda Chairman Mr. Anil Khandelwal delivered a compelling keynote. Finance influencers Ms. Chandralekha Ravikumar and Ms. Sakchi Jain engaged in a student-moderated panel discussion on financial markets, while Mr. Ehsaan Noorani, a member of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, explored the business side of music in an exclusive fireside chat.
The fest reached its peak on February 6 with the Global Youth Economic Summit (GYES), which witnessed a standout moment as Bollywood star and entrepreneur Ms. Shraddha Kapoor took the stage. Known for her success in cinema, Shraddha captivated the audience with insights into her entrepreneurial journey as co-founder of Palmonas, a direct-to-consumer jewellery brand. In a candid conversation with Palmonas co-founder Mrs. Pallavi Mohadikar, she shared her vision for the brand, the challenges of entering the business world, and the lessons she has learned while balancing creativity and commerce. They emphasized the importance of brand identity, innovation, and customer engagement, leaving students with a fresh perspective on entrepreneurship beyond traditional industries.
Alongside Ms. Shraddha Kapoor, the GYES summit featured top corporate leaders like Mr. Hardik Dhebar (Welspun World), Mrs. Preeti Chheda (K Raheja Group), and Mr. Ajay Goel (Vedanta Group), who provided key financial insights, while entrepreneur Mr. Arjun Vaidya explored the evolving startup ecosystem.
