Formerly known as the College of Engineering Pune, was declared a Unitary Public University of the Government of Maharashtra on 21st June 2022. Founded in 1854, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious Institutes in Asia. It works diligently to realize its mission of providing the best learning, teaching, and research opportunities to students and academicians alike. It continues to supply students with the basics of modern knowledge and high values.
The Boat club is the oldest entity of COEP. It takes pride to preserve this legacy. COEP is proud to have a Boat Club, which is one of its kind in the country. Situated on the banks of Mula River, this club was established in the year 1928.
We are the oldest and longest-running event in Asia, and we are standing here holding a rack of the 95th Edition. We are succeeding towards our 100th Edition which we are striving to achieve. The 95th Regatta, which will take place on March 26, is coming up in a few days.
“Success is a process, not a destination”. A lot of preparation and work is necessary for a successful event. We are now approaching the 95th Regatta edition with even greater fervour. We introduce you to our theme, “Stride towards pinnacle” which summarizes our journey over the past years, highlights an upcoming event, and denotes our progress toward success. “Pinnacle” refers to a successful point of something, therefore we are forging on with our legacy’s successful voyage and raising the event’s value. As we get closer to the 100th edition, we are gradually becoming the best version of ourselves. The Regatta is a wonderful opportunity for the students to get introduced to water sports like Rowing, Kayaking, and Canoeing and pursue them professionally. Regatta is a lot more than a competition.
This year, we are holding a full-fledged “Regatta” which means we are giving our best to revive the previous energy. We are excited to continue COEP’s signature event, “Regatta”.
The faculties themselves ensure the proper facilitation and safe environment during night practices.
This year REGATTA will exceed its previous expectations and will set a benchmark for upcoming ones.
