3. In-factory logistics

In-factory logistics services are basically customized services that are aligned to the customers’ production schedule. 5. Freight Forwarding

eDeL: LAST-MILE DELIVERY SERVICE

Mahindra Logistics has an electric last-mile delivery service in India called ‘eDeL’. At present, eDeL is operating in 9 major cities (Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, Surat, Hyderabad, Nashik, Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru ) in India with more than 500 vehicles.

The idea behind launching eDeL is to fundamentally change the manner in which in-city distribution is managed and the impact it has on the environment. The current vehicle that is used is Treo Zor EV from Mahindra Electric. It was launched in November 2020. This is chosen because of better cubic capacity, range, safety and as a result delivers superior operating economics when compared to ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles currently used for last-mile deliveries.
