ABOUT THE CHAIRMAN
Dr Vikram I. Shah, a doctor by profession, is the Chairman and Managing Director of the hospital. After acquiring professional qualifications – AO Basic from London (UK), F.A.O.A.A. from Switzerland and F.A. S. I.F from Germany, Dr Vikram returned to India to serve the best healthcare. His vision to serve the ailing in India led to the establishment of Shalby Hospitals.
Dr Vikram is credited for popularising Total Knee Replacement (TKR), a practice that was considered one of the dreadful surgeries till the early 90s. His surgical process innovation “Zero Technique” reduces the surgery time from several hours to only 8 to 10 minutes and that too with extra advantages like minimal blood loss, minimal incision, reduced infection rate, and speedy recovery to enable patients to walk within few hours of the completion of the surgery.
