It was inaugurated in 1950 by India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru with the name ‘Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital.’ However, it has now reintroduced itself as Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital.

Accidental & Emergency Centre
It is a highly specialized unit with dedicated beds and healthcare professionals. The centre is spread over a 3000 sq ft area and is located on the ground level to enable easy transfer of patients from the ambulance to the unit. The centre is supported by a fleet of well equipped Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ambulances for the transportation of patients. Furthermore, the emergency wing with 10 beds has separate Triage and Observation areas.
