Kharagpur Data Analytics Group is a student-led research group at IIT Kharagpur. It aims at bringing Data Analytics and Machine Learning enthusiasts together under the umbrella of a single society. It organizes various activities such as Research Paper Reading sessions, Data Science and ML workshops, Hackathons and publishing blogs in the field of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
Every year Kharagpur Data Analytics Group takes great pride in organizing its flagship event – the Kharagpur Data Science Hackathon which stands as India’s largest Data Science Hackathon. This event draws a multitude of participants who tackle challenging real-world problems and formulate innovative and brilliant solutions. The previous edition was a resounding success and saw over 3500+ participants from various esteemed institutions like IITs, IIMs, BITS etc. The event saw numerous praiseworthy and innovative solutions by some of the best students in the country. A total of 12 teams qualified for the final round conducted at IIT Kharagpur, in collaboration with Axtria. The results saw the first position being bagged by Team Lunatic Bytes from IIT Kharagpur and a massive prize of INR 70,000 was offered to the winning teams.
With overwhelming success over the past years, Kharagpur Data Analytics Group proudly announces the 4th edition of the Kharagpur Data Science Hackathon 2024, where participants will come together and showcase their brilliant data analytics skills.
The 4th Edition of the Hackathon will be sponsored by Zelta Labs joined by Bobble AI as the Associate Sponsor, EaseMyTrip as the Travel Partner and The Global Hues as the Media Partner. The winners will receive a whopping prize pool worth INR 1.5 lakhs. The competition aims to foster innovative analytical thinking in the participants through a real-world challenge.
