THE PRODUCT PORTFOLIO

JSPL produces economical and efficient steel and power through backward and forward integration. The product portfolio of the company spans the steel value chain from the widest flat products to a whole range of long products and rails.

Rails

JSPL has pioneered the manufacturing of 121 meters as rolled long track rails and designed a facility to factory weld these rails in welded lengths of up to 484 meters with only 3 welds. JSPL is the first Indian producer to produce value-added Head Hardened Rails used in Metro Rails and High-Speed corridor projects.

Angles and Channels

JSPL has commissioned a state-of-the-art 0.6 MTPA capacity medium and light structural mill (MLSM) at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. This mill is a first-of-its-kind in India and is equipped with advanced rolling mill technology and equipment from Danieli, Italy.

Plates and Coils

JSPL has India’s first state-of-the-art plate mill that produces plates and coils of 5 and 3 meters in width respectively. The plates produced are of premium quality in terms of internal soundness and dimensional adherence owing to its clean sound steel refining facilities, clean raw materials, and efficient rolling mill.

Wire Rods

JSPL also offers wire rods in 5.2 mm to 22 mm diameter from its first unit at the proposed 6 MTPA capacity integrated steel plant at Patratu, Jharkhand. The mill produces low carbon, high carbon, medium carbon, and other special grades that include cold heading quality (CHQ), electrode quality, spoke wire, pre-stressed concrete, high carbon wire rods for spring steel, and tyre bead and ACSR.

Parallel Flange Beams & Columns

JSPL produces medium and heavy hot rolled parallel flange beams and column sections in India. They enable complex fabrications in high volumes due to inherent functional advantages and are produced as per various Indian & International standards.

Round Bars

Located in Patratu, Jharkhand, the round bar mill of JSPL is equipped with the latest technologies from Siemens, USA. The mill is operational with modern rolling equipment like reducing and sizing mill (RSM), pinch rolls, high-speed shear, and laying heads. To meet the processing requirements of various grades of carbon and alloy steel, it also has controlled temperature rolling and controlled cooling.
