But, if you’re determined to stay on this journey, many healthy meals don’t take a lot of time and have many health benefits. For instance, smoothies are the best option to stay healthy, and they don’t even require any real cooking. There are many smoothies options to choose from, but today I have a very healthy and tasty smoothie choice for you to try.

Power Ingredients – Chia seeds, bananas, spinach, and blueberries

Before hitting the books on the recipe, let’s look at the benefits of each ingredient, shall we?

 1. Chia seeds

Chia seeds are one of the most used foods in smoothies, and there is no reason not to include them in your smoothie. Although Chia seeds have no taste, they contain plenty of beneficial nutrients such as minerals, vitamins, and heart-healthy fats. From weight loss to reduced inflammation to a smooth-running digestive system, Chia seeds have various health benefits. There are different ways of adding chia seeds to your smoothie, either soaking them in water overnight or adding them directly in your smoothie for added crunch. On the plus side, it is gluten-free and has no proven side effects.

 2. Bananas

Bananas are among the most famous fruits. They are extremely healthy and delicious. Bananas are a rich source of potassium that helps in maintaining blood pressure and heart function. Bananas are great for weight gain as well as weight loss. Bananas are rich in complex carbs, which can increase muscle glycogen stores, which help prevent muscle cramps. Bananas also provide a steady stream of glucose, which makes bananas perfect for fueling a workout. Bananas are rich in vitamin C, which keeps skin hydrated, heals damaged skin, and works as an anti-aging. Adding bananas to your daily diet also prevents hair loss.

 3. Spinach

When you’re trying to stay healthy, don’t skip your greens. Spinach is very rich in antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Spinach also promotes your overall eye health and protects your eyes from UV light. Some studies suggest spinach may help fight cancer cell growth.

 4. Blueberries

Blueberries are known as a superfood. They are low in calories and high in nutrients like fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin K. They are also 85% water. A partial reason why we grow old is DNA damage, because blueberries are high in antioxidants, they can counterpoise some free radicals that damage your DNA. Antioxidants in blueberries are linked to reducing levels of oxidized LDL, which makes blueberries very good for your heart.
