  • 1996 The journey started in 1996 when SM Worldwide was established with an emphasis on the International business vertical
  • 2000 SM Worldwide ventured into the Domestic segment as a franchisee of a known courier company

Born in Nagaur, Rajasthan to philanthropists Mukna Ram (father) and Ratna Devi (mother), Shrawan Chaudhary was a very kind-hearted and down-to-earth person. He was a true Karamyogi who made quite a lot significant contribution to the community. He always followed the path shown by his parents who used to say that “No one’s better than you, but  you’re better than nobody.”

After completing his graduation from Rajasthan University, he began working as a delivery executive in an Airfreight company to support his routine expenditure, which helped him learn in and out of the logistics industry. He actively participated in different leadership programs and learnt team management skills. And then the day came when he led the inception of SM Express on 27th July 1996. Shrawan Chaudhary also trained his brother Mr Shivkaran (the Current MD  of SM Express) on how to lead the organisation and take it forward.


From being a grassroots field staff to Managing Director, Mr Shivkaran is associated with SM Express since its inception days. With over two decades of experience in the logistics industry, Mr Shivkaran has the right combination of knowledge, leadership and business acumen to propel the company to new heights of growth and diversification. As the Managing Director, he is responsible for the successful management of the company’s business. Along with that, he also supervises and stirs all company’s operations, people and ventures in order to maintain and accelerate the business.
