Everyone loves to have a hot cup of tea during the winter season. Drinking tea in winter provides warmth to your body. A single cup of immunity-boosting tea charges your entire body and mind with refreshing energy and prevents winter lethargy from your body. 

In winter, our immunity system weakens and we are more prone to catch a common cold or cough. We need to develop a strong immune system that protects us from infectious bacteria and viruses. You just have to slice a small piece of ginger and then boil it while making your regular tea.

Turmeric is a common spice that is used in almost every other Indian vegetable curry or dish. But do you know Turmeric Tea is also equally beneficial for us? Let the water boil for 5 more minutes and then strain the tea into the cup. Add a teaspoon of honey to your turmeric tea for a better taste and serve it hot.

To make Chamomile Tea, you just need a handful of fresh chamomile flowers and wash them properly. Boil the water in a kettle or on a stove. Once the water is boiled place the chamomile flower inside it and cover the top of the kettle or the boiling pan. After 5-7 minutes strain the tea into a cup and your chamomile tea is ready to enjoy. (For better taste you can add a teaspoon of honey to it).

6. Licorice Tea (Mulethi)

Licorice, also known as Mulethi, is said to be beneficial in various health conditions. A little sweet in flavour, Licorice is very effective in curing cough, cold and sore throat. Its antibacterial and antiviral properties help in boosting immunity and are considered safe to include in your daily diet

Since ancient times, Licorice has been used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine for various medicinal purposes. Licorice is also good for glowing skin and a healthy digestive system. You can include Mulethi in your regular diet, just make sure that you consume it in moderation.
